At the end of the online course, a professional information form will automatically appear for you to complete. The information you provide is securely stored in Excel's system and used to issue your certificate. It’s essential to answer all questions accurately—especially your name, which must match exactly as it appears on your professional beauty license.

Do you provide certificates upon course completion?

Accepted Answer

Yes, upon completing the course, you will receive a certificate of completion. For South Carolina, certificates will be mailed to you, as required by state law. For DC, Texas, and Iowa, and Illinois your certificate will be automatically generated at the end of the course. Please ensure that your sign-in information is accurate, as it will be used to issue your certificate. Also the course fee includes your certificate unlike others. No hidden fees.

Are your CE courses approved by the cosmetology board?

Yes. All states that are listed for continuing education (CEU's) are approved and are listed on each state board's website.

Do I need to take all my online course hours with the same provider?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all of your 4 hours of CEU'S (2023 renewal) needs to be taken with the same provider.
This includes instructors as well.
 
You can gain all 4 hours needed with Excel's online courses. This includes instructor's as well.

You do not need to take 6 hour reinstatement courses with the same provider.  You can take an in person reinstatement class with a provider and your online reinstatement course can be taken with another provider. The only profession that would need to take all 12 reinstatement hours with the same provider are instructors.

I am Texas Barber. Do I need CE hours?

Yes, starting 2025 all Texas barbers will need CE hours. We do have that CE course available to you. From the home page you can select Texas. From there you will see the choice for barbers. On that page, you'll find the course lessons, online course benefits, and a sneak peek video. With us, your certificate is included in the course fee—no hidden charges. Unlike some other providers, who may surprise you with extra fees, we offer full transparency and no surprises.

When will I recieve my certificate from the University of South Carolina?

The complete cycle can take up to 21 to 28 days. It varies. It depends on holidays and if everyone is busy with renewals.  We at Excel will have to process your information and send out to The Unversity of South Carollina. Next, the university has to process your information and send out a certificate of completion. Next, the university will send your information to LLR. LLR will process and then update their system.

Yes. Your certificate will automatically populate at the end of the course for all states listed except for South Carolina. South Carolina legislative requires all certificates of completion to be mailed to participants.

Yes, all CE courses are tailored to the specific legislation of each state. You must purchase CE courses for the state where you are licensed—no exceptions. Credit will not be granted otherwise.

Please submit a paper renewal application along with a copy of legal documentation such as marriage license and or divorce decree to the address listed on the application.

How many hours do I need to complete during my 2 year license period in SC?

Accepted Answer

You must complete a total of 4 hours of continuing education (2023 renewal) during your 2 year license period. Also, all 4 hours can be completed online.
 
If you are reinstating your license (lapsed license) you will need to gain all hours requested by the board. Only 6 of 12 hours can be gained online. If you need 24 hours to reinstate your license you can can gain12 hours online the other 12 hours will need to be from an in person class.  Please check out our informative online courses.

Yes, you are able to complete all required hours needed with a 4 hour online course. Please check with your state regulations.

At the end of the CE course your certificate of completion will automatically populate. It can also be found on your dashboard, under your name and certificate. For South Carolina please allow 1-2 weeks to recieve a certificate in the mail from the University of South Carolina. You will need to keep this certificate in a safe place for possible future references.

No, you are able to take a break and come back to the course. Please watch video(s) in its entirety. You will be prompted to answer a pop up question. Yes you can attend a CEU class even if you don't need the hours to renew your license.

Excel 's courses are fully automated. There is no need to email the provider to give information or when you complete the course. Our intuitive system notifies us.

Yes, you can pause, stop, and return to your online CE course at any time. You'll have access to the course for two weeks from the date of purchase, so you can complete it at your own pace. To continue without interruption, please use the same device and browser you started with. Switching devices or browsers may cause the system to lose your progress.
